The Barrio del Carmen, the Mercado Central, the Cathedral — a dense historic centre that photographs beautifully and permits reasonably quickly.

Urban Beach
The Malvarrosa and Cabanyal beaches are within the city — you can shoot architecture in the morning and beach in the afternoon without a location move.

La Albufera
A natural lagoon 10 minutes from the city — rice paddies, wetlands, traditional fishing boats. Unusual for a city this size and completely different from anything else on offer in Spain.

Accommodation, transport and location fees are noticeably lower than Barcelona. A meaningful saving on multi-day commercial shoots.
International productions repeatedly choose Barcelona or Madrid by default. Valencia is what happens when you actually look at the brief and ask what the footage needs to look like. Modern architecture, Mediterranean coast, historic streets, wetlands — all within the city or a short drive. The light is excellent and consistent.
Valencia works particularly well for automotive, fashion, lifestyle and branded content. The variety of looks you can achieve in a single shoot day is genuinely impressive.
Permits
Valencia's Ajuntament is notably cooperative on commercial filming. Faster permit processes than Barcelona, lower fees. Book with reasonable lead time and it moves smoothly.
Logistics
Valencia Manises airport has direct connections to most European hubs. The city is compact — most locations are within 20 minutes of each other.
